Mandarine Collar Drafting

A mandarin collar is called standing collar or band collar, and it is a short unfolded stand-up collar style on a shirt or jacket. This collar can be the collar stand for shirt collar.

1. Draw a horizontal line and vertical line.

2. On the horizontal line, measure back neck length.

3. From HSP, mark front neck length.

4. Go Up 1/2 - 3/4", and connect to HSP.

5. Make front neck slightly curved.

6. On the benter back line, fine your collar height.

7. Draw a line parallel to the neck line.

8. Shape the center front.

The bigger amount you go up at the center front, the collar will be more curved. It means the collar edge will be closer to your neck. If you draft this collar completely straight, the collar will stand up far from your neck.
