Kimono Sleeve & Dolman Sleeve
Kimono sleeves are cut with the front and back bodice, so there are no armhole seams. Kimono sleeves are normally cut with a deeper armhole than the set-in sleeve. You have more freedom to move your arms. You can make Kimono sleeves without shoulder seams if your shoulder seam is a straight line.
Dolman sleeves have even bigger room at the underarm than Kimono sleeves. It is very wide at the arm and tapered to the wrist. Some people call Batwing sleeves. You can make Dolman sleeve patterns using Kimono sleeve patterns. Watch these two videos on how to draft Kimono sleeve & Dolman sleeve.
