Fitting Q&A _ Draglines at the front pants

Q: How do I remove those draglines on the pant front?

A: The high hip (right below the waistband) is too tight. So increasing the high hip at the side seam will reduce the draglines.

There are 2 draglines that show the pant body is tilted. Draglines at the front crotch and draglines from the waist to the side seam.

To reduce them,

1. You measure the amount of extra at the pant crotch (sample).

2. On the patterns, draw a horizontal line at the front rise where the dragline starts.

3. Keep the point at the side seam and rotate the body- the same amount you measured from the sample.

4. Ture the curves. (Final is in red)

This is a quick and easy fix for the front draglines on your pants by adjusting the high hip and crotch areas. In 4 easy steps, you'll learn how to measure and adjust your pants pattern for a smoother look. This will help you create pants that fit perfectly, without draglines.
